It just keeps getting better!

Well, I can finally sleep in the V-Berth! After a much deserved day off yesterday, today we worked hard to get the V-Berth livable. I cleaned that sucker within an inch of its life! No self respecting bit of dirt or muck would be caught dead near it! So I'm anticipating a wonderful spacious sleep after several nights spent on the starboard setee.

We had a great afternoon at the pool while doing laundry. Clare and Graham actually had fun together!

We are still experiencing "storing pains" as we try to figure out where best to stuff stuff! Always a chore! :-) ah well, it will eventually satisfy us (we may be home by then!!!)

Anyway, got to make some pasta for dinner tonight (thus we have to locate the spaghetti) and so will end for now. I will take a pic of my cabin and post tomorrow!

Hope everyone is well and happy! Janet

OMG!! what have we gotten ourselves into???

It is Thursday night, and the kids are fighting like 2 cats in a bag...the heat can get to you, though we are hopeful that we will soon acclimatize.

The unpacking is coming along, slowly but surely. Graham is into his "cabin" now, but perhaps this just gives him and Clare more opportunity to fight?! sigh.

We actually cooked and ate dinner on board tonight for the first time! And boy was it good! There is still so much to do, but we are taking it easy along the way...enjoyed a great swim in the pool , read some Harry Potter (so no one better ruin the ending for me!) Life is good.

Anyway, early to rise, and I'm up late tonight....Graham and I watched Deja vu (definately have to suspend disbelief for this one!)

Looking forward to seeing Karina soon....she is our deadline to have the boat ready!

More pics to come soon.

love and hugs. Janet

The adventure begins...

Well friends, we arrived in Deale, Maryland on Tues morning, July 24/07 and i had my first glimpse of Star Shadow. Graham had painted a bleak picture of the boat, the marina, and pretty much everything else, and so I am happy to report that things are just fine! Star Shadow is crammed full of boxes and bags of our stuff, but she is a good boat, and comfortable even when cramped! Shipwright Harbour is a lovely marina with a great swimming pool, a clean shower and laundry facilities! Who could want for more?

We have our work cut out for us for the next while, as we unpack, sort and pitch to make this our home for the next year. I will upload some pics of what we are working with....

Stay tuned!
